Our Logo

First State Bank of Grove City

Created by KantorGroup, Inc., our logo is comprised of three parts: the emblem (the tree symbol), the logotype, and the tagline ("Over 100 years strong"). In the name First State Bank of Grove City, the designer recognized that the words Grove City are the most memorable and proprietary part of the name, which inspired the tree emblem. When one stands in a grove, one experiences the growth of life and the strength of trees nourished by deep roots. A grove may also be a field, a place where fertile land is tilled and nurtured, and where the fruits of one's labors may be invested and harvested.

First State Bank of Grove City is an organization that serves a region deeply influenced by the land. So, embedded in the shroud of the tree, you'll see land that has been planted in rows, signifying a farmer's field. Rather than choosing a specific crop, such as corn or beans, an image was chosen that could be interpreted more broadly. The tree is completed by the presence of two outreaching roots, which symbolize the bank's long, proud connection to the community.

The logotype was chosen as a classic traditional typeface that will withstand the test of time. "Bank of Grove City" was visually emphasized so as to make the name a bit shorter in appearance and to reinforce the most memorable part of the name ("Grove City").

Recognizing that in 2007, the bank celebrated its 100 year anniversary, the tagline, "Over 100 years strong" is the ideal complement to the image of a strong, tall tree.
